Clancy is happily finished with "procedures" for a while, will meet with the Dr today and begin chemo Friday. He's excited to get going, but not looking forward to the side effects.
As far as procedures, here are two things he wasn't prepared to hear: "This is a simple process. We're going to insert a needle in your jugular."
"This will be different than what you had done before. We will be taking about 4 oz of marrow from your sternum."
It brought on thoughts of Monty Python - "Run away!"
He survived those & other assorted short subjects and is still feeling strong. Sometimes all you can do is laugh.
"Dude" - :) I am so glad you started this blog. You are in my thoughts pretty much every day. My best to you and Laura.
ReplyDeleteI did have to chuckle about you and giving up control. I know how hard that has to be for you. (hear me chuckling?)
Laura - make sure he follows Doctor's orders. Clancy - Keep up the good fight.

Clarence, you are in our thoughts and prayers bud! Just thought I would let you know the retirement gift is still surviving in the living room (even though Joanna said "no way"), I still laugh every time I see it.
ReplyDeleteTake Care
I look forward to more updates!
Tom
I to am happy not so much for the blog ,but ecstatic about your progress. Being a non computer literate I attempted to comment on several earlier blogs but couldn,t get er done.In retrospect with my sense of humor I probably kept myself out of trouble. You would have taken it the vein I intended but others that don,t know me may have been offended. Thats the last thing I want.
ReplyDeleteClancy what a game you saw.. One of a few real nailbiters in my years of going to see the Griz. All in the photo looked great and the smiles are on our faces that things are progressing as they should.
